This heavy metal war helm is decorated with large crests and horns, styled to look like an ancient dragon. In the center of the helm, set like a jewel, is the fossilized eye of the ancient dragon Varranscathe who possessed great powers of prophesy. This helm was worn by the Cindring Fireyes, high king and warlord of the Lokhari that invaded Avalon in the centuries before the kingdom's fall, and was seen as a symbol of his rule. After his death, it passed between lesser warlords, until it was carried to the north of Prydain and hidden in Toskolavir Temple.

Wearing this helm increases your Armour Class by 1, and grants advantage on Charisma skill checks against Dragonborn.
If the wearer is attuned to the helm, they can harness the precognitive powers of Varranscathe. When an attacker that you can see hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to halve the attack's damage against you. However, looking into the immediate future is disorienting, and all attacks and checks you make the following turn are at disadvantage.
Attuning to this item requires at least three dragonborn from separate clans recognizing your right to the title of High King and swearing fealty to you.
